About Vander clute Memorial RIDE

"Vander Clute Ride"

  •  Purpose: The ride serves as a major fundraiser for VFW Veterans & Military Support Programs. 
  • Honoree: It commemorates Howard E. Vander Clute Jr., who served as VFW Commander-in-Chief from 1979–1980 and Adjutant General from 1981–1995 before passing away in 2000.
  • Event Details: Held annually in conjuction with the VFW National Convention. 
  • Participation: Hundreds of VFW Riders from across the nation together on a scenic ride. "Riding for those who fought for us"
  • Impact: The ride has successfully raised Tens of thousands of dollars for VFW charities.
